This Privacy Policy applies only to WorkoutLabs Fit. It does not apply to WorkoutLabs Train or another WorkoutLabs product that is governed by a separate privacy notice. Use of Fit is also subject to the WorkoutLabs Fit Terms of Use.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This WorkoutLabs Fit Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how WorkoutLabs LLC (“WorkoutLabs,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with:
- The WorkoutLabs Fit website and web platform
- The WorkoutLabs Fit iOS application
- Public workout pages and downloadable workout materials
- Fit accounts, subscriptions and purchases
- Customer support and communications
- Fit analytics, authentication and connected service providers
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes or can reasonably be linked with a person. It may also include information treated as personal data, sensitive data or consumer health data under applicable law.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you access and use Fit.
Account and identity information
When you create or manage a Fit account, we may collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Password or authentication credentials
- Gender or exercise-illustration preference
- Account status and communication preferences
- Identifiers provided through Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In
Optional onboarding and recommendation information
You may choose to provide information used to recommend general fitness content, including:
- Fitness level
- Fitness goals
- Home or gym workout preference
- Other workout preferences made available in Fit
This information is optional and is used to filter or recommend general fitness plans. Fit does not use this questionnaire to diagnose a condition or provide individualized medical advice.
Workout and activity information
When you use Fit, we may collect or create records concerning:
- Workouts and plans you view, save or schedule
- User-created workouts
- Workout calendar entries
- Workouts marked completed or skipped
- Workout history and activity dates
- Exercise selections, sets, repetitions, timing and rest settings
- Workout recommendations and filters you use
- Public or shareable workout links you create
- PDF workouts you generate or download
Progress and fitness information
Fit may allow you to enter body measurements and other fitness or progress metrics. The exact information collected depends on what you choose to track.
We do not currently collect progress photos through Fit.
Fit does not currently connect to Apple Health or HealthKit and does not read data from or write data to HealthKit.
Billing and subscription information
When you start a trial or purchase access, we may receive:
- Subscription plan and billing cycle
- Trial status and eligibility
- Purchase, renewal and cancellation dates
- Transaction and receipt identifiers
- Payment status and subscription entitlement
- Limited payment details provided by Stripe, such as card brand and the last four digits
- App Store purchase and subscription information provided by Apple or RevenueCat
WorkoutLabs does not store complete payment-card or bank-account numbers on its servers.
Device, technical and usage information
We and our service providers may collect:
- Internet Protocol address
- Approximate location inferred from an Internet Protocol address
- Browser, device and operating-system information
- Application version and device identifiers
- Login dates, session information and authentication events
- Pages, screens, features and content accessed
- Referral URLs and interactions with Fit
- Error reports, crash information and diagnostic data
- Cookie, local-storage and similar technology identifiers
Fit does not currently request precise device-location permission. Approximate location may appear in support and analytics systems based on network information.
Support and communications information
When you contact us or communicate through Fit, we may collect:
- Your contact information
- Support messages and correspondence
- Account and billing details needed to assist you
- Information you voluntarily provide to support staff
- Consent, delivery and opt-out records for email communications
3. Sources of Information
We collect personal information from:
- You directly when you register, complete onboarding, build workouts, track progress, make a purchase or contact us
- Your use of Fit when you access workouts, schedule activity, complete or skip workouts and use product features
- Apple and Google when you use their authentication services
- Apple, Stripe and RevenueCat in connection with purchases, subscriptions and entitlement management
- Your device and browser through logs, cookies, analytics and similar technologies
- Support and communications providers when messages are delivered or support interactions occur
4. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
- Create, authenticate and manage your Fit account
- Provide the Fit website, web platform and iOS application
- Save workouts, plans, schedules, progress and history
- Provide general workout recommendations based on your optional onboarding answers
- Generate and deliver downloadable workout materials
- Enable public or shareable workout links you choose to create
- Process trials, purchases, subscriptions and account entitlements
- Synchronize access between the web platform and iOS application
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
- Send account, onboarding, billing, renewal and service communications
- Send optional educational, abandoned-trial and win-back communications
- Understand how Fit is used and improve features, performance and reliability
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents
- Enforce our agreements and protect our rights, Users and Services
- Comply with applicable law, legal process and regulatory requirements
5. Workout Recommendations and Automated Processing
Fit may use your optional fitness level, goals and home or gym preference to filter or recommend general workout plans.
These recommendations are generated from basic product rules and available content categories. They are not medical diagnoses and do not produce legal or similarly significant decisions about you.
You may use Fit without providing all optional onboarding information, although some recommendations may be less tailored.
6. Fitness and Consumer Health Data
Information about workouts, activity, fitness goals, body measurements and progress may be treated as consumer health data or sensitive personal information under some laws.
We collect and use this information only to provide, personalize, maintain and secure Fit, to respond to your requests and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
WorkoutLabs does not sell your workout, progress, body-measurement or fitness information. We do not use that information for targeted advertising.
We do not disclose this information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
7. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances.
Service providers
We disclose information to vendors and contractors that support hosting, authentication, analytics, payment processing, subscription management, email delivery, customer support, security and other business functions.
These providers may process information only to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
At your direction
When you create a public or shareable workout link, the linked workout may be available to anyone who receives or discovers that link.
We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so or authorize a connected service.
Legal, safety and enforcement purposes
We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process or a valid governmental request
- Protect the rights, property or safety of WorkoutLabs, Users or others
- Detect, investigate or prevent fraud, abuse or security incidents
- Enforce our Terms and other agreements
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims
Business transfers
Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
Aggregated or de-identified information
We may use and disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you. We will not attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted by law to test our de-identification methods.
8. Service Providers and Third-Party Services
Fit currently uses providers in the following categories.
DigitalOcean
DigitalOcean provides hosting, infrastructure and related technical services.
Apple
Apple supports Sign in with Apple, distribution of the iOS application, App Store purchases, subscription billing and related platform services.
Google and Firebase
Google supports Google Sign-In, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Firebase supports application analytics, technical measurement and related services.
Stripe
Stripe processes web payments and provides billing and transaction information to WorkoutLabs.
RevenueCat
RevenueCat supports subscription and purchase-entitlement management, particularly for App Store transactions.
Intercom
Intercom supports customer service, account communications and support-related information. Intercom may display approximate location inferred from network information to support staff.
Mandrill
Mandrill supports delivery of transactional, onboarding, educational and lifecycle email communications.
Fathom
Fathom supports website analytics and traffic measurement.
These services are governed by their own privacy terms. Their practices may change independently of WorkoutLabs.
9. Sale, Advertising and Tracking
WorkoutLabs does not sell personal information for money.
Fit does not display third-party advertising.
WorkoutLabs does not use workout history, progress metrics, body measurements or onboarding fitness information for targeted advertising.
We use analytics technologies to understand product and website usage, measure performance and improve Fit. We do not use Fit data to build advertising profiles for sale to third parties.
Depending on applicable law, some analytics technologies may be classified as sharing, targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. Where required, available cookie controls may be used to manage optional website technologies.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Fit website and web platform may use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies.
Essential technologies
Essential technologies support authentication, session management, security, subscription access, preferences and core platform functions. Restricting them may prevent Fit from operating correctly.
Analytics and performance technologies
Analytics technologies help us understand traffic, feature usage, errors and performance. Providers may include Fathom, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Firebase.
Your choices
You may use available cookie preference controls or change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Some settings apply only to the browser and device where they are selected.
11. iOS Application Data
The iOS application may collect account, subscription, device, usage and diagnostic information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Fit does not currently connect to Apple Health or HealthKit.
Fit does not currently collect progress photos or request access to your photo library for progress tracking.
Fit does not currently request precise location permission.
Apple and third-party software included in the application may process information needed for authentication, purchases, subscription management, analytics, security and application performance.
12. Payments and Subscriptions
Web purchases
Web payments are processed by Stripe. Payment information is submitted directly to Stripe. WorkoutLabs may receive limited billing information, transaction identifiers, payment status and card details such as the card brand and last four digits.
App Store purchases
Purchases made through the iOS application are processed by Apple. WorkoutLabs may receive purchase receipts, product identifiers, subscription status and entitlement information from Apple or RevenueCat.
WorkoutLabs does not receive or store your complete Apple payment details or complete payment-card number.
13. Email and Other Communications
We may send service communications concerning:
- Account creation and authentication
- Onboarding and use of Fit
- Billing alerts and renewal reminders
- Subscription and account status
- Password, security and support matters
- Service updates and legal notices
We may also send optional fitness education, abandoned-trial and win-back messages. These optional messages may be promotional even when they include educational content.
You may unsubscribe from optional communications using the link in the email or available account controls. Opting out of optional email does not prevent essential account, billing, security or legal messages.
Fit does not currently use SMS messaging or workout-reminder push notifications.
14. Public and Shared Workouts
Fit content you save to your account is not public by default.
If you choose to create or distribute a public or shareable workout link, anyone with access to that link may be able to view the linked workout without signing in.
Do not include sensitive, private or identifying information in a publicly shared workout. WorkoutLabs cannot control copying or further distribution by people who access the link.
15. Children and Teen Users
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use a Fit account.
Users between 13 and 17 years old, or below the age of legal majority where they live, may use Fit only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Children under 13 may view publicly available workout pages but may not create or use a Fit account. A parent or guardian may not create an account for use by a child under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information through a Fit account from a child under 13.
If we learn that a child under 13 has created or used an account, we may suspend the account and delete the associated personal information. A parent or guardian may contact [email protected] regarding a suspected underage account.
We do not knowingly sell or use personal information belonging to anyone under 16 for targeted advertising.
16. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Fit, maintain accounts, process purchases, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and satisfy legal, security and business requirements.
Active accounts and paid access
Account information, workouts, history and progress information are generally retained while your account or paid access remains active.
Subscription cancellation
Canceling a subscription prevents future renewal but does not immediately delete your account. You ordinarily retain access through the end of the paid billing period.
After paid access ends, WorkoutLabs generally retains the account and associated information for a 30-day restoration period.
Account deletion
You may initiate account deletion through available account controls, including the iOS application.
An account submitted for deletion may remain recoverable during a 30-day restoration period before permanent deletion. You may contact [email protected] to request immediate deletion, subject to identity verification and information we must retain for legal, security, billing or fraud-prevention purposes.
Deleting a Fit account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple. Apple subscriptions must be canceled separately through Apple.
Information retained for longer periods
Some information may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for:
- Billing, tax and transaction records
- Security, fraud prevention and abuse investigation
- Legal obligations, litigation and dispute resolution
- Enforcement of agreements
- Backups and business continuity
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or logs and will not ordinarily be restored to active use.
17. Information Security
WorkoutLabs uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss and disclosure.
Safeguards may include:
- Encrypted network connections
- Access controls and authentication protections
- System monitoring and logging
- Backups and recovery procedures
- Secure software-development and testing practices
- Service-provider controls and contractual requirements
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your credentials, maintaining secure devices and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
If a security incident affects personal information, we will investigate and provide notices where required by applicable law.
18. International Users and Data Transfers
WorkoutLabs is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed and stored in the United States or another country where we or our service providers operate.
Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires an approved transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, we will use an appropriate mechanism.
For Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with similar requirements, our legal bases may include:
- Performance of a contract, including providing your account and subscription
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Legitimate interests in operating, improving and securing Fit
- Consent where required, including certain optional communications and technologies
19. Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of information
- Request a portable copy of information
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
- Opt out of targeted advertising or certain forms of sharing
- Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request
- Complain to an applicable privacy regulator

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
We do not ordinarily charge for privacy requests. A reasonable fee may be permitted for requests that are excessive, repetitive or manifestly unfounded.
20. Data Copies and Custom Exports
Fit does not currently provide a general self-service account-data export.
You may request access to or a copy of personal information by contacting WorkoutLabs.
A legally required privacy response will be provided without charge where applicable law requires it.
A separate custom, manual, specially formatted or technically complex export that is not required by privacy law may be subject to a reasonable fee disclosed before work begins.
WorkoutLabs does not guarantee that exported data will be compatible with another service.
21. Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
This section also serves as our consumer health data privacy notice where applicable law requires one.
Categories of consumer health data
Depending on how you use Fit, consumer health data may include:
- Fitness level and goals
- Home or gym workout preference
- Saved, scheduled, completed or skipped workouts
- Exercise and workout history
- Body measurements and progress metrics you enter
- Information you voluntarily provide in support communications concerning fitness, injuries or limitations
- Inferences used to recommend general fitness plans based on your onboarding selections
Sources of consumer health data
We receive consumer health data from:
- You directly
- Your use of Fit features
- Information generated when you save, schedule, complete or skip workouts
Fit does not currently receive health information from Apple Health or HealthKit.
Why we collect and use consumer health data
We may collect and use consumer health data to:
- Provide requested Fit features
- Save workouts, history and progress
- Recommend general fitness plans
- Provide customer support
- Maintain, secure and troubleshoot Fit
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements
Who may receive consumer health data
Consumer health data may be disclosed to service providers that process information to operate Fit, including hosting, support, analytics and security providers. It may also be disclosed where legally required or as part of a permitted business transfer.
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not use consumer health data for targeted advertising.
Consumer health data rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, use or disclose consumer health data
- Access consumer health data
- Request deletion of consumer health data
- Withdraw consent for certain collection or disclosure
- Receive information about third parties that received consumer health data
- Appeal the denial of a request

- Commercial information, such as subscription, trial and transaction history
- Internet or electronic activity, such as usage, device and log information
- Fitness and health-related information submitted through Fit
- Account credentials and authentication information
- Communications, support requests and User Content
- Inferences used to provide general fitness recommendations
We collect these categories from the sources described in Section 3, use them for the purposes described in Section 4 and disclose them to the categories of recipients described in Sections 7 and 8.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information belonging to anyone under 16 for targeted advertising.
State-specific rights may be exercised as described in Section 19.
23. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Fit, our practices, service providers or applicable requirements.
The updated Privacy Policy will state its revision date.
If a change is material, we may provide notice through email, Fit, the website or another appropriate method.
